When times are tough in business (we all reach this stage a some point), it is hard to keep the passion you have for it, burning bright. It’s very easy to fall out of love (a little) with the business you started and start to feel that it has become a liability or a burden, particularly if cash flow is running dry or your business has stalled! You may have hit a brick wall with the way that you market your business, run out of ideas how to push it forward or simply become exhausted due to the long hours!
If you wake up in the morning and feel a sense of dread in the pit of your stomach, it’s definitely time to seek help. You have invested a lot of time and energy (and possibly money) to get where you are today, so do not let this feeling make you want to give it all up and go out and find a job.
Help may come in the form of speaking to your bank manager or accountant for new ideas or different ways to do things, or by speaking to a close friend who also runs a business (but you trust their advice or judgement). Maybe you have no one to bounce ideas off?
I love helping businesses at this stage. I love the challenge. When going it alone, it’s hard to see the wood for the trees! For me, sitting down with the business owner, hearing their issues first hand, what worries them and keeps them awake at night, is usually something that can be remedied and solutions found quite quickly.

I am particularly good at cutting through the distractions, the dead wood, and re-igniting the passion for the your business.
